Over the past couple of years there have been really fascinating debates around the changing nature of journalism. The way to read and share stories (primarily online and through social media) has meant more and more of us are getting are news from sources we are already likely to agree with. This phenomenon is occurring on both sides of politics. Is it contributing to polarisation in our communities? Is it really that different from what’s gone on previously? How do we build a better model of journalism and commentary that forces us to engage with new ideas.
